Weather in Istria in November: Temperature, Sea & Tips
November is the wettest month in southern Istria, with around nine days of significant rainfall on average. In between, though, there are always mild, clear days of 14 to 15 °C. The sea cools to about 17 °C, and hardly anyone swims any more. The sun shines for only three and a half hours on average, and the days get short. The season on the coast is over: many restaurants, beach bars and hotels in Pomer, Medulin and Premantura are closed or have shorter hours. In return, the region now feels completely authentic – the olive harvest is under way, fresh oil is being pressed in the hinterland and the main white truffle season continues. Most recently, Pula's Advent programme started at the end of November.
Too cold to swim

Tips for November
- When it rains, visit the Historical and Maritime Museum in Pula castle or the aquarium.
- Taste freshly pressed olive oil at a producer in the Istrian hinterland.
- On clear days, walk on the Vižula peninsula or at Cape Kamenjak and then light the wood-burning oven.
